Valentines Day

Nothing like a Red Neck Valentines Day.

Weapon of choice: M16

Finally got the rifle to work for some skeet shooting.

Our boys were in charge of planning our romantic, glamorous Valentines Day this year. So of coarse they plan a day of going shooting out at Buckeye Ranch. You can tell Jon is a true convert to the Jones family when on the day of shooting, he's asking me about various household items he can shoot: "Can I shoot this vase? How about this pitcher?!" Oh dear. So we filled up old milk jugs and anything else that would hold water. We did bring a few vases to shoot, just because glass is more fun. Our friends had an old microwave and satellite dish to demolish as well. My sexy dialation/block any destruction from hitting my eyes glasses.

We topped off the night with a Low Country Boil where we stuffed ourselves with shrimp, sausage, corn and potatoes. So much for a day filled with chocolate and massages! :)

(Thanks Brindi for all the pictures!)

I can see!!!!

Bye bye glasses forever!! And don't judge my ickiness. No make-up rule day of surgery.
It's amazing. My vision is BETTER than it ever has been with contacts. But let me just give you a run down of the day. So I get to the doctor, and they do all the pre-op stuff, and go through the shpeal of "you'll go blind for about 15 seconds. This is normal. You'll smell something burning, be assured this is not your eye..." and so on. So, since I was there alone, I was given a laser bug stuffed animal to squeeze. Oh and did I squeeze!! I'm suprised the stuffing didn't all come out by the end. Anyway, surgery was over in 5 minutes and I went home and slept the rest of the day. Woke up next morning with perfect vision. They bruised my left eye though so I have icky bloody red eye. Embarrasing! But other than that, I am 100% satifsfied with my surgery. Thank you mom and dad for such an awesome graduation present!!!

I'm getting LASIK!!

I'm getting Lasik surgery tomorrow morning at 8 AM!!! I'm so nervous, but so excited to never have to wear contacts again! And I have to tell you, I'm even more nervous after looking for Lasik pictures on the internet. Hmmm... anyway, I'll be so glad to get out of these glasses. The key will be to keep Jack's clawing little fingers away from my eyes for the next three days. So I'll be sporting those sexy dialation glasses over Valentines Day. I'll try to post before and after pictures if I remember. Wish me luck!!!
