Happy Birthday Jack!!!

Jack Owen graced the world with his presence Saturday morning, at 7:29 am. My water broke at 12:30 in the morning, and we quickly packed and went to the hospital. After some major contractions, I was finally able to get an epidural and it was smooth sailing after that. He was 7lbs 3oz and 19 inches long. Born with tons of hair, proving that all that heartburn had been worthwile. :)

He's 4 days old now, and his head is back to being the shape of a head and not a cone. He seems to have his days and nights confused which is making mom and dad a little crazy. Luckily we have grandmas near by to help out. We are so excited to have him and look forward to all the excitement yet to come!!

The Nursery

This is the nursery that is finally complete!! This was our first project in the new house, and it looks pretty darn good! His name is going to be Jack....obviously. Jon did the chair rail, with a little help from me, and he did all the painting.

One week and counting!!!

I've got exactly 7 days until my due date!! I went to the doctor yesterday and I'm dilated 1 whole centimeter. Jon talks to my tummy every morning and tells the baby that today would be a good day to come. Honestly I think Jon just wants a vacation from work. :)

We're officially bloggers!

We're are officially bloggers as of today. I've been putting it off for months because our lives weren't that interesting. But I decided since we're going to have a new little addition to our family, our lives will get a lot more fun to read about!! And since so many of my dearest friends live so far away, this will be a great way to keep in touch.
